College Football is finally here! We have all waited a long time for this part of year to finally get here. Let’s take a look at one of the games that has a lot of people talking. As a “Floridian” a lot of folks are talking about this matchup and it couldn’t of come at a better time as a season opener.
Miami Hurricanes vs. Florida Gators

Favorite: Florida Gators -7
Total: 48
This game couldn’t have come at a better time. These two in-state rivals will kick off Saturday with a bang! These two teams will be playing at a neutral site in Orlando at Camping World Stadium. Both of these teams are pumped and can’t wait to collide and have bragging rights for the state of Florida. Some say the crowd will favor the Gators 70/30.
Miami Hurricanes: It has been a busy offseason for the Hurricanes after finishing their season 7-6 last year. They have acquired a lot of new coaches in the month of January this year some of them being OC Dan Enos from Alabama, DC Blake Baker from Louisiana Tech, RB coach Eric Hickson from Kansas State and WR coach Taylor Suttblefield from Air Force. Along with the new coaches hired there have been a lot of departures from the players. An astonishing 24 in total players lost from last years roster to neither graduating, transferred or being drafted into the NFL.
The biggest question for Miami is the quarterback position. Sophomore N’Kosi Perry has been getting most of the first team reps. Tate Martell (transfer from Ohio State) is chomping at the bit to show his full potential. If Perry gets the start it might end up being a long day for the Sophmore. Florida has two great defensive backs in C.J Henderson and Jeawon Taylor. They have the experience and skill to throw Perry off his game.
Florida Gators: Last season the Gators finished 10-3 and 4-0 on road games. Including an absolute beat down in the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl beating Michigan
Wolverines 41-15. The Gators truly have the upper hand in this matchup. Defensive and on the Offensive side of the ball. Todd Grandham’s defense returns six DBs who have started at-least five games. Last year they really had the run game going averaging 213.3 yards per game. I believe the gators will be to much to handle with the defense being one of the best and will cause a lot of confusion for an already confused Hurricanes QB battle. -7 seems a little steep to start the year but I like my chances. If your into totals I would lean under 48 as well. Act quick as the total has already dropped 3 points from 51 to 48 depending on what book you use. The spread opened at -7.5 and is sitting at -7.
